1.Pierre Siracusa, Head of Animation, France Télévisions
What was the reason for coming to Mifa?

First of all, it's a place for meetings and discoveries. It was here that the, then unknown, creators of The Owl came to see us on the France Télévisions stand and presented their project as they were not familiar with the production process and circuit. The project turned into a series that has sold to over 200 countries. There's a new season starting soon here too. This would never have happened without Mifa.

And that sort of thing is still happening?

There's not must time in my schedule here for the unexpected. But our programme advisers are keeping their eyes open, giving over time to meet young creatives or producers who are not part of the normal circuit and taking a look at the films in selection.

And how about co-productions?

Coming to Mifa gives us the chance to take stock of project developments with our different foreign partners.

2.Nina Hahn, SVP, International Production & Development, Nickelodeon
What was the reason for the large Nickelodeon delegation at Mifa?

This year, our network is concentrating on finding creative talents. So Annecy became a "must visit" as an incredible source of European talents. It made sense for Nickelodeon US, UK, Germany and France to be here because we are all ultimately looking for the next big animated hit, the future Sponge Bob. Hollywood is not the only place to find creative talents.

What kind of projects are you looking for?

Talents that deliver in content either with something they have already done, or a few steps before this. We will educate them on the brand, and together, try to create a success that will appeal to kids globally.

Have you noticed where emerging talents are coming from?

In South America, things are more contemporary, funny and relevant than ever before, and there is a great volume of work. South Africa is another place that we are watching carefully. And France and the UK continue to deliver a wide variety of strong content.

3. Jeremy Zag, Founder and Director, Zagtoon
What's the reason for coming to Mifa?

We're here every year on the look out for creative talents. Zagtoon is constantly looking for new artists in their crews. And we can meet many students here who come to show us their work. We currently have six series in production, including Sammy (M6), Lady Bug (TF1), 7 C’s (Gulli/CanalJ) and a dozen others in development.

And what about co-productions?

Annecy gives us the opportunity to meet up with co-producers in a different and more relaxed setting.

We've got series in co-production with the States and Japan. I often go there to visit so we can return the welcome here in Annecy.

What sets Mifa apart from other markets?

This is my 4th visit and Mifa is by far the best as its the only place where writers, artists, producers, broadcasters and buyers mix together.
